seriously, i've seen some of the smallest people ever in Spain. i feel like a giant. it's not everyone, but there is a significant portion of the population who are about 4 feet tall. got in late last night and went out with a friend studying abroad here... unaware that we walked in to the American study abroad club. good to see Americans can find each other everywhere around the globe and continue to isolate themselves from the rest of the world.
spent today trucking it around the city up and down Las Ramblas, the main boulevard filled with markets (skinned whole rabbits anyone?) and street performers while trying to figure out our next move, probably Biarritz in the Southwest of France. not much time or patience to write from this internet cafe which is attached to a Subway... funny seeing all these American study abroad guys coming in for dinner (why do i feel like they are the best customers this Subway has?). i guess i shouldn't say anything though, since Michael and i are probably going to a Ben & Jerry's i found for some much needed ice cream therapy.
a late addition to this entry: the much needed Ben & Jerry's of which i mentioned was of course, closed. a random gelatto stand in Spain was lacking... at best.
