No dramas on the ferry to Bohol, off we got then we had to sort transport out to get to Alona Beach.
I read that it was cheaper to get a tuk-tuk than a taxi so after the 100th 'no' to the taxi drivers we finally found a tuk-tuk. It was funny watching the bags go on the back and I'm gutted we didn't get a shot of it.
Arrived at Alona Beach, now as we was thinking of diving we thought best to try and get a deal with a diving resort. The driver tried to help us in finding accommodation, a bit like taking us to his Uncle's which wasn't all that. Finally getting rid of him without hurting his feelings we walked down to a place I had read in the Lonely Planet called Peter's House.
This was more the dive school for the bigger resort (name escapes me) but it had 4 nice little rooms up top. We were lucky as we rocked up and asked for a room, lucky enough someone checked out that day!

We met a Welsh couple who were on there way home from Aus, but stopped over for a holiday and learn to dive. Gareth and Helen, lovely couple and they introduced us to Torrent downloading and the phenomenon that is Entourage.

We done some diving and sunbathing, drinking and eating, easy life! Whilst diving the main things we saw were turtles and a huge school of jackfish... I think.

We had a little day trip to break up the diving, renting out a moped we went on our way to the Chocolate Hills.
When the grass is dying and a browney color they are meant to resemble hills made out of chocolate.... The grass was healthy when we was there! Still great to look at and to test our photo trickery skills out (bit like Dad and the kitesurfing in Egypt!)
On the way back we stopped off at a couple of places, one being to see the tarsier monkeys and the other a riverboat cruise.
The tarsier monkeys were in a sanctuary, a decent one this time as there is a no touching policy. Still doesn't stop some people shoving there cameras up the little gremlins nostrils! Nocturnal hunters, they didn't do much.

The river cruise was nice, food...good, dancing group...good, ;D    (joking Elle)

We got back in one piece and that took up most of the day. Went out one of the evenings to watch a dive video, all the coral and life that you can see off Alona Beach.

That was about it, we had our ferry booked for late afternoon, so I had one more dive whilst Elle sunbathed. I lost my boardies and rash vest though by leaving them on a sign to dry whilst we packed.

We rushed off to get back to Cebu, when we got back we stayed in the same hostel as a couple of nights before. Different room this time, in the 'VIP' part.... the only thing is people think they owned the place and talked all night, until Elle went and told them to button it up!

The next morning we had a flight booked to Puerto Princesa on Palawan, off to the western parts of the Philippines.
