Australia is wonderful!!! Our first landfall after 8 fantastic days at sea was the Port of Freemantle. It is the port city for Perth. It sits on the beautiful Swan river. I got off the ship early in the morning and took the train into the city. It was very nice and extremely clean. I went with Becky and Gary up to Kings Park which has a great lookout over the city. Then we took the Swan River ferry back to the ship. The whole river is lined with million dollar homes (some up to 65 million australian dollars). Perth is the capitol of Western Australia but its unique....its not near anything. The whole country is thousands of miles away. It was great!!!

The next stop was in Adelaide after three more glorious sea days. The weather has been so good i have slept on my balcony several days. The whole group (reference the cruise family) decided to take a wine tasting tour offered through the ship. Adelaide was also an extremey beautiful city. It was sooooo clean. We took a 2 hour city tour and then went off to the wine lands. The countryside was equally beautiful. The first winery we went to had some great wines (and i of course tried them all!). My favorite was a Sparkling Pinot Noir of which i had never previously heard. Then we went on to lunch and some more wine tasting. Finally we ended at a winery that is the biggest producer of Meade (wine made from honey) in the southern hemisphere. It was truly unique and great. They had three german short hair pointers (dogs that look like Eva) and i missed my little puppy. After that we went on back to the ship. Next stop Melbourne!
