Ok so this journal entry is late in part because I didn't want to record it but I realize now that I really do.
This was the day that I tried to go to the bird's nest to see the paralympics. After classes I went and ordered a ticket of the internet. So all I had to do was go to the bank and pick it up. Well I was going to go with my roommate and some of her friends. (I knew from the start that some of them would get on my nerves by the end of the evening).
Well I ended up waiting for about 20 min because they were being slow. We jumped on the bus and went to the bank, but because of traffic we reached the bank after it had closed. My and about half of her friends already had their tickets so instead of going to the back they had already gone the the stadium. This left me with Johnny and Andrew.
Well since the back was closed Andrew asked every single person if they spoke English. Which is ok until they said no. Then he just stared talking in really bad Chinglish which was 90% English.
Well we decided to go close to the bird's nest to try to scalp tickets or see if a bank near the stadium was still open. So we took the subway to the stadium. When we got the stop for the stadium we had some difficulty getting out of the station. We got a lot of help from some of the volunteers. They help us to call the bank to find out that we couldn't get out tickets at all.
So we decided to walk over to the bird's nest , just to see it because at this point we were super close. We got out of the station and Andrew suddenly decided that he NEEDED to eat eat right then. (He is diabetic but I don't get why he was ok until he found out we needed to walk.) Which made me kinda made me really annoyed. Well I decided to walk to the stadium by myself because Johnny decided to go with Andrew.
So I started walking to the stadium. The walk was nice and peaceful. Eventually I reached 4th Ring Road which is right across from the bird's nest and water cube. I took several pictures and then it started pouring down rain. I had forgotten my umbrella, so needless to say I got drenched.
I walked back to the subway got on went back got back to Beiwai. I ended up waiting for like 20-30 min after I got off subway for my bus to come. Several people took pity on me and let me hide under their umbrellas. Eventually I got a bus home. ^^
It took 2 towels to get my hair dry enough for me to go to bed.
