The drivers here in China are Crazy! They drive as if there are no laws, which as far as I know could be true. They drivers don't pay attention to the lines dividing lanes. So a road that may have only three lanes going south and another three going north is treated like there are five or six lanes going each direction. The drivers speed up fast and brake even faster making you feel like you are being tossed around the car. If a driver needs to make a U turn they just go ahead and make it as soon as the dividers allow it, sometimes they look and wait for on-coming traffic other times they just pull out into the traffic because they know the cars coming will see them and either slow down or swerve out of the way. The drivers here have to be very observant and pay close attention to what they are doing because not only are the drivers crazy but there are people walking and biking all down the sides of the roads. The bikers will pull out into traffic to go around other bikes or walkers without looking because they know the cars won’t hit them. Walkers are the same way. They will cross intersections not caring if cars are turning or not because the cars won’t hit them, although I often wonder how they don’t. The drivers will come flying up to a turn and fly past walkers inches in front of or behind them. Or they will pull up to the people who are in front of them and honk until the people are out of their way. The reason the people are so brave is because they know the cars won’t hit them because it’s so expensive to pay for all the medical bills plus thousands on top of that. On the bright side as crazy as the drivers are they all must be very good in order to not crash. Plus I have heard that it is not only expensive to get a license but it is very difficult to pass the test, which leads to the understanding that the drivers much be skilled.

I enjoyed your story because it shows how different driving in China is from driving in the United States. You think the drivers in China are crazy but i don't think the drivers here are crazy. Plus, you heard in China that it is difficult to pass the test but I heard that it is not as hard here.

I enjoyed your article because it shows that people act differently in China than people act here. You said that people are walking and biking all down the sides of the road, people normally don't do that here.

I love reading your stories. Some things are funny. I feel like I am there with you in China.

Wow! From the story you did, now I will think that Chinese people are very crazy drivers. When I'm in college, I hope to go to China, I will know to keep my seatbelt very tight! I find it very funny because here the people don't drive crazy like China. Last I have a question, if the people in China drive like that why won't the police stop them?

When they first drive I think they could crash. I think when people are walking there might be a few accidents. Do you know where they practice?

The drivers in China are very crazy and you heard correctly the test to be a driver in the U.S.A is a lot easier to pass but the one in China is becasue that way fewer people are on the rodes and there are less cars. They need to have fewer cars becasue there sre so many people if they all had cars like in America the whole country would be in a perminant traffic jam.
That is true people bike and walk a lot more in China and they don't even always stay on the sides of the streets sometimes they will walk down the middle of the rode or ride their bike through traffic going the wrong way just because it's faster and they know the cars will do their best not to hit them.
Thank you thats very kind of you to say.
I hope you do travel to China it is a great place. you have a good plan though make sure your wear your seat belt nice and tight. You asked why the police dont stop the crazy drivers and thats becasue the police drive just a crazily as everyone else so if they pulled poeple over for crazy driving they would have to give themselves tickets too.
I don't know where they practicefor sure but I think they just do it on the street like we do in America.I think you are right and there are more car accents and people getting hit here in China then there are in America but I don't know for sure. Why don't you ask your teacher to look up the statistics online for you.
