We awoke at 7am again, and all made the trek to the bathroom in our pjs to use the facilities. The Marion, Arkansas campground is next to a farm, and the kids liked discussing what may be growing there. A pancake breakfast started at 7:30am, so Janelle went to get some money for us and left Molly and Taylor with Harmond, Warner, and me. They all hung out in the game room for awhile, pretending to play games, and it was taking Janelle awhile. Finally, Rebecca begged the woman for some coffee and the woman let her give her order for the kids. Meaw came over with the money, and by 8:00am, Janelle arrived, nicely dressed, and by then, there were many people at the pancake breakfast, and somehow Rebecca was still in her pajamas amidst all these other dressed people! At the breakfast, Janelle, met a documentarian who recognized Meaw from the Nashville KOA - they had been there the same evening! He is traveling with the magician David Blaine who is filming a CBS special, who he said was still in the "rock star trailer" as he called it. The kids played for awhile at the playground, and we also got a great tip from a family with four girls for a campground in Oklahoma that will shave a couple of hours off our drive to Kansas and which the kids will love. By 10am, we got the kids to the pool, where a bright green frog popped out from the umbrella as Rebecca put it up, and which provided a lot of entertainment for the kids. Rebecca said good morning to David Blaine on his way to the restroom and asked him how he liked "outer Memphis". Of course he said he loved it. When he came out, Rebecca asked him if he'd do a magic trick with the frog, and he said he'd try. Janelle came over and talked to him about how she saw him in London, and that her husband was a huge fan. We told him about our trip with the triplets and three-legged dog, and he said, "That's crazy" in a very monotone, David Blaine way and offered a picture with us, which were taken expertly by Harmond and Warner. Then Rebecca called Bret who offered, "I hear he's very hot in person." ;)

We attempted to leave Memphis at 11am to the sound of a kitten stuck under the RV! The campground manager helped us get it out safely, but he wanted us to actually drive away to make the kitty leave (which it did, but we felt very weird about). We stopped awhile later at Sonic for lunch (parked on the side - too big for car hop and the turn was too narrow to get out on the first try and a kind family with some experience coached us out of the turn. Then, we stopped for the night in Little Rock, where we discovered a water park to go to after getting a few items at Walmart - some more water, ANOTHER pair of earphones for Warner for the dvd player, coffee filters (finally! the coffee timer IS now set), and life vests for the boys which gave them enormous freedom and happiness in the water. The water park was GREAT. The triplets played in a water play area with activities and swings as well as the wave pool. Harmond and Warner discovered the mini water slide and with 15 minutes left in our stay, decided to try an adult water slide. Rebecca asked the life guard to identify the next level water slide up from the kiddie slide. He pointed in the other direction. Rebecca pointed to the slide Harmond was interested in, and he said, "That is probably the scariest slide; it's pitch black inside. You can't see anything." Harmond was very adamant and convinced Warner, so Rebecca said, "The worst that can happen is we'll all reach the end of the slide crying hysterically." And so she carried the enormous 4-person raft up 40 stairs (she took offers for help the first time, but found strength to do it herself the second time, much to the dismay of the men around her carrying the rafts for their groups!). So, yes, there was a second time, after the kids begged, and we had a blast.

The campground pool was open late, so the kids kept their suits on and went in the pool again, after an ice cream cone of the flavor "Krazy Kolors". The triplets mouths were all dripping with blue ice cream on to their stomachs. It was quite scary. Then they all went to bed, awaiting another great day tomorrow.

You're quite a story teller. Well done. And it sounds like you each had a perfect time. Fun, fun, fun.

(I still say it's really better with a '76 Dodge with two bench seats, four kids, two adults, no a.c., and an a.m. radio! .... no, I don't)
