Tonight Ms Sun and her son Wenbo Shao very kindly took me to dinner to try Beijing Duck. It was all very interesting and very tasty.

The chef carved the duck in front of us, and i was told all about how the ducks are force fed and although they look big they are very young. Each duck has a number and can be traced by this number - i guess this ducks number was up.  - i was given the duck's number (it's sticker on a postcard) to keep.

Various dishes were served; one plate had the ducks head cut in half, with two duck cheeks (obviously only two) these are given to the two main people at the table so i got to try one - I was told it is a very special part and very tender - i guess it was but i am not an expert!

There were thin pancakes into which we put duck, cucumber, and other vegetable. There were also rolls, and other dishes too - if i can get the video uploaded you will see!
