My students wanted to say goodbye and thank me for being their teacher, so tonight they took ME to dinner, it was a little restaurant just off campus.

Before we even got there they were giving me presents!! it was like Christmas! it was so nice of them - some even wrote me little messages on post cards - it seems they really have enjoyed having me here to teach them. I feel privileged to have been their first ever English speaking teacher.

I told them that I think they were very clever to be able to speak two languages and to have lessons in English, they said how they were nervous to speak English at first. I reminded them how they'd all cheered when I told them it was my first time in China and that they were my first class.

The meal was great - there was tons of food and I tried a couple of new things to eat!!...... Still my favorite was the peanuts in chilli.

We chatted about all sorts - had a great night, towards the end of the night I wanted to see if i could reassure them some more about coming to Scotland (as naturally they are a bit apprehensive) so got them to ask me more questions about Scotland... amongst other things there were many questions about food. Well they do keep telling me the love eating!

We chatted away but then it was time to go....

They walked me to the guesthouse and then as we were saying bye bye - it was really wierd - but nice to think i will see them in Scotland. (i was thinking i wonder if they would like a hug) when one asked if she could have a hug - of course!! then there was loads of hugging and bye byes - they shouted " we love you, you are great!, we will miss you" heeheheh - when i said when they see me in Scotland they must run up for a hug - they all shouted yes!
