So the day has finally come that I begin my adventure in Africa... well sort of. I guess technically I have one sleep left, but I doubt that I will sleep anyways!!! I feel fairly relaxed and prepared. I have been reading alot of little tips from other travellers and have a fairly good idea of what to expect. I am also preparing myself for the culture shock that will envitably set in when I arrive. I am going from being a not-so-rich unemployed local to being a wealthy foreign traveller. I am not so conviced of the wealthy part, but due to my skin colour I am sure that alot of Africans will be! I have a few books so I hope that the 15 hour flight goes by smoothly and I don't go crazy all anxious on a plane for that long. With any luck I'll get to sit next to a beautiful rich afircan man who can tell me all about his country... It's nice to dream eh!!! I haven't heard from the Karaka for a couple weeks, but I am sure that they are on their way to meet me in Mtwara. Well, I suppose that there isn't much else to write now untill I get there. Wish me luck... and keep updated on this blog!
