Hello from Deutchland! Man, what an awesome city is Berlin. The town has such a good vibe to it. Off the cuff, rebellious but cultural. Makes for exiting times, however all the broken glass is bad for the bikes.
What a relief it was to enter Germany. Scandinavia was so, so ridiculously expensive! Here's my take on it: You want to see Scandinavia? Go to the Canadian praries. Similar architecture (boring), similar landscape (boring) and even similar town names (Bergen ring a bell?). Coming from Poland, prices generally doubled. Even more sometimes.
Germans are awesome. Germany is awesome. People are so friendly and helpful. Food is back to normal price. Bike lanes and inter-city routes are plentiful and well marked. Riding is scenic and generally flat. I love it here! Germany gets a big thumbs up for being cycle friendly.
We're on our way to Prague next. We debated passing it by to make up some time, but come on, it's Prague!
