Weīll see if we canīt get some photos on this entry! We were using a Linux (sp.?) operating system in Ljubljana, and it didnīt like our camera. We are currently in Vienna, Austria. Beautiful. Absolutely. What a spectacular city for bicycles. There are bike paths everywhere! All over the city, in every direction, on nearly every street. Special bike traffic lights, courteous drivers and lots of fellow cyclists. Vancouver needs to take a lesson from this place.

Umm...where did we get to last time. OK. We travelled north from Ljubljana into the mountains. Slovenia is also a great country for cycling. It is such a quaint, typically European country. Very pituresque, much moreso than Austria, actually. We met a fellow cyclist, Primoz,  just out of Lujubljana that guided us along a very scenic backroad route. The climb over the mountains was strenuous, but grades were good and there was no snow. We were nearly 500 m vertical shy of our Greek pass, mind you. After 2 days of ups and downs we finally hit the valley that would lead us to Vienna. Ahhh...smooth, flat riding. The result? BORING! So we hopped on a train and covered the 200 km that way. Plans are the same from here. We enquired about the biking down the Danube, and yes, there is a path all the way into Budapest! Nice. Me thinks the next few days may be as good as it gets. Apparently the Danube bend north of Budapest is the best part of the whole river.
