Despite the delightful tune we created and sung to each other to dull the pain of Sicily's cold, windy, heartless interior, the beach-fronting city of Palermo is NOT an oasis in the sun. Not for the 2 days we've spent here anyway. We did manage to sneak into an undercover parking area below a seemingly vacant church. This provided much needed shelter from the barrage of wind and rain.

We now head back east and back to the mainland. Both of us are starting to feel a little Italy-weary now. Could have been the tough biking of the interior, but I also think we're both looking for some new scenery.
