Happy Christmas everyone. Awoke at 1pm, sweating like a pig in my sauna of a shed and bitten to death by mosquitoes. Those little bastards just can't get enough and obviously my mosquito net works really well. I've been trying to drink so much that my blood poisons them but it doesn't seem to be working...

Decided to get out of my pit and take a walk along the beach. Spent about an hour walking along, admiring the storm in the distance, and started to walk back as it started spitting.

No sooner was I back in the safety of my hut when it started to piss down. Epic biblical proportions of rain continued unabated for the whole day! Happy Christmas from rainy Thailand everyone! I feel for the poor bastards who came out here especially for Christmas and get nothing but rain. I just resigned myself to another rainy day, there haven't really been that many on my trip but it has to rain sometimes. I just wish it wasn't Christmas Day!

So I spent Christmas Day huddled up in my room catching up with my diary, bored out of my mind, and thinking of home for the first time so far. Quickly snapped out of it knowing full well that I would be just as bored back home, watching James Bond on TV.

In the evening I had been looking forward to eating a Christmas roast dinner but no one else wanted to so I ended up eating a crap burrito which summed up my day really. I would have to say this was by far the lowest day of my trip, lets hope it gets better from here.

On a side note I'd like to mention Coral Bungalows where Kim and his mates are staying. It sounds like the worst guesthouse I have ever heard. The rooms are of a good standard and reasonably priced but the rules set by management are ridiculous! You are not allowed to buy any food or drink elsewhere to eat/drink in your room! If thats not bad enough they are getting kicked out tomorrow morning because they didn't want to eat the Christmas dinner! It's not just them either. We met some Canadians a couple of days later and they are constantly being moved from room to room and being threatened with eviction. I'd add that warning as it seems to be a popular place.
