We had a wonderful nights sleep. The bed was so comfy and the birds didn't wake us up in the morning for the first time in two months. Robert slept until about 9:30AM, by that time I had showered and was having some tea. I was talking to Florence and John about what we could do today. They had the day all planned out. We left the house about 10:30AM for Domain Park.

Along the way we saw the city, which they live very close to. As we pulled into Domain Park, it was just beautiful. We stopped to see the ponds full of ducks. The trees and grass all green and off to the side was a large white gazebo, just perfect for a little wedding ceremony. As we went up the hill to park, was this massive concrete building with large pillars. The Museum, surrounded by grass and sporting fields. We got out of the car and headed for Winter Garden Greenhouse, just wonderful. Full of color, plants we never saw before, huge lily pads, giant arugala. Went for a quick walk to the duck pond and in the car for some more sightseeing. Our next spot was One Tree Hill, amazing views of Auckland. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day, blue skies, and a few white puffy clouds.

As we were leaving One Tree Hill, Robert noticed this Vet with a Cat Car; it was definitely different, big pink cat. Will post pics, at some point. Next stop Mission Bay, we as drove along Tamaki Drive around the Auckland Harbour the water was beautiful, bluish/green color. A few sailing boats and little restaurants along the way. We stopped for lunch at Sitting Duck at the Westhaven Marina. It was wonderful, nice breeze, some sun, and the food was good Robert ordered Chicken Parm and I ordered Pumpkin and Feta Fritters, everything was very tasty.

We headed back to the city center and took a ferry over to Devonport, were we walked along the water front, admiring the houses and a couple getting their photos taken. They must have gotten married today on Valentine's Day. We had some ice cream and were back on the ferry on our way to the Viaduct. At the Viaduct we say the America's Cup Boats that were sailing in the harbour earlier, huge boats, now being used at sight seeing boats. We watched someone bungee jump from the Sky Tower at the Casino.

Back at Florence and John's house, we chatted, watched some news, and sat down for dinner. Florence cooked Kumara, sort of like a mild sweet potato, salad and beet root, all very good. While John was grilling the Rack of Lamb. What a wonderful way to finish off a short stay in New Zealand, great food and company with wonderful people.
