Organized the family history a bit this morning.  I must say the organization aspect of it is proving to be the most difficult part!  Took the train over to Sandgate and bought a nice floral center piece for Joyce's birthday and some scratchies for Ray for his birthday.  We gave a call and Frank was lightning quick in picking us up.  We had some coffee, tea and Boston Cream Pie (don't know what they call it here) and enjoyed the company of Frank and Joyce and Joyce's lifelong friend who is visiting for a few days. Frank gave us a ride back to Boondall and we started getting ready for a night out.  Nadia had fun dressing up Lyn and soon we were on our way to Portside.  this is a newly renovated part of Brisbane where the cruise ships like the P&O Pacific Star dock in the city.  There are many new shops, restaurants, condos and even a movie theater.  We met Ray at Byblos, a Lebanese restaurant that is right on the water.  http://www.portsideshopping.com.au/content/cms/Byblos/78/ Seemed like a trendy new spot.  The food was tasty (never had Lebanese, but seemed like Greek, Egyptian, etc.)  The table we sat at was huge.  There were probably 20/30 people there to wish Ray a Happy Birthday.  After dinner many were heading over to the Hamilton, but we took it easy on ourselves and headed home.  It was a nice evening and it was great to catch up with the family after being away for a few weeks.
