Then we were on our way back to the city. A beautiful day it was not a cloud in the sky. As we walked down the river front the boats passing by, what more could we ask for on December 22, where we should be in winter coats. It was perfect, we came across a few Christmas parties at some of the bars and restaurant. I loved the buildings, I felt like we were driving along the coast in Delaware looking at the huge beach houses. Just reminded us of home. As we walked along this new path way, we came across a beach area with a pool in the middle of the city. Bart told me about it, but just seeing it with your own eyes is amazing. Locals were out for the day at the beach, sand all along the water, rocks that the kids were jumping off of, some sand on the bottom just like it were the ocean, palm trees, beach umbrella, picnic lunch's. I wish I had my bathing suit with me, I would have jumped right in. What a wonderful idea someone thought of, just wish they would do something like this at home in Wilkes-Barre, it would be such a draw.
Soon Bart was getting a little hungry and found an Asia Take-Away shop, while I stood in line for the City Cat. With our all day pass, we were able ride the bus, train, and City Cat (ferry). What a wonderful way to see the entire city, we headed up the river past the bring and into the suburbs. As we went further away from the city, the house just keep getting bigger and even more amazing. A few houses were holding holiday parties others had huge yachts in front of them, most of the house had great wrap around porches, infinity pools, beautiful green yards ( even though they are in a drought and everyone else's yards look brown ). It was just great sitting back and viewing all of the city.
Soon we were back in the city and walking around Queen street, this is an outdoor shopping center with a few big department stores along the way
We decided we wanted some food so we got off at the Toomball Shopping Center the have a few of our shops, the Body Shop, Bi-Lo, Aldi's and a few we don't have the Reject Store and Crazy Clarks.. After we did some shopping we were back on the train and on our way to Nadia and Luke's. When the train stopped at the Boondall station, we had no idea where we were, it was 9PM and pitch dark. We asked a few people if they could direct us to Sandgate Road and we were on our way. As we got a few block away a car pulled over, one of the guys that gave me directions as if we would like a ride. So we said yes after a moment. Once we jumped in we realized how close we actually were to the house. I told the guy this was our stop, he didn't stop, then Bart said this is our street he still didn't stop, in the mean time the front t passenger just turned around and looked at us when we spoke. Once we arrived at the end of the road the light was red, I said thanks and hoped out. We were walking once again, even further than we would have had to walk if we didn't get in the car. Happy the light way red, I started to get a little nervous since the guy didn't listen to our directions.
Bart cooked some dinner, talked with Luke and Nadia for a while and went to bed. Only 3 days until Christmas!
