Well we were up early this morning at 5:10AM.  The birds woke us up once again.  But this time instead of trying to go back to sleep we wanted to get a peak of the buggers that were interrupting our sleep.  We headed out the front door with the camera and then Bart started walking around the street and then he was soon.  So I went back into the house and videoed a little of the action.  Soon Luke was up and off to work and then Nadia was off to the Gym..  I was tired and ready to go back to bed, but my that time it was already 7AM and Scoot and the kids would be at the house to pick us up at 8:30AM to go to the Australia Zoo developed by Steve Irwin.  We decided to take showers, get a little breakfast and do a little research as to where we were going.
Right on the dot  a car pulled into the drive way.  Scott, Jacob, and Jacinta were here for us.  Unfortunately they had to wait I decide I wanted Nadia to French braid my hair.  But within minutes we were in the car and heading to the zoo.  It was a nice ride we placed I Spy something with my eye the entire way, I think it was about an hour drive.
Once we arrived at the zoo to took a shuttle to see the Elephants and Tiger, we saw once elephant drinking water and another throwing dirt on his back.  The Elephant section of the zoo is very new and not yet completed.  The tigers were very impressive.  The trainers said it is very odd for the tigers to sit as close to the glass as they were, but we were able to get some great shots.  Soon we were back onto the shuttle for some lunch and the 11:30 show.  The show was fantastic only an hour, but we were able to see tropical birds fly over our feeds, trainers feeding the crocs, and a snake show.  After that we headed for the kangaroos.  Robert, Jacob and Jacinta were all anxious to pet the animals, but I was stand offish since I typically do not like animals.  In the mean time Scoot and myself  were looking for some Macedonian nuts to take home and eat.  They did great, they were even given food from a nice couple to feed to the Roos.  We did some more walking through the zoo, saw parrots, koalas, and so much more.  We took a lot of great pictures and all in all have a great day.  First time for me to see a Kangaroo and Koala.
On our return back to Frank and Joyce's, we had a quick pit stop at Glasshouse Mountains.  What unbelievable views!  The green just goes on and on.  A few hills to look at and 2 lava peaks, which we interesting.
Soon we were back on the road, talking about different things American and Australia's.  Telling the kids all about snow, how to make snow balls, they asked if you could eat snow, and Seth this one is for you.  We told them you can't eat the yellow snow!!!  They had a little laugh.
