We had our day planned to go to the city and plan out the rest of our trip. But I was just not up for us. Still having sinus problem and as the day went on I had a headache. So we decided I would watch a romantic movie with Nadia and Robert would look on the Internet for more family history and things for us to do in Brisbane.
After the movie, we decide we would make dinner for Nadia and Luke, but we still needed a few things. Off to the grocery store we went
. Our first stop was at the Butcher, purchase some ground beef, or minced as Australians would call it. Then a few extra groceries. Unbelievable how expensive things are here. We keep telling them, how much cheaper it is to shop in the US. Next to the Liquor store for some wine, but we decide not to purchase any b/c Joyce left a few bottles for us at Nadia's. Thanks Joyce and Frank. But we did compare prices. At home you could get a 30 pack of beer for $15. Here you could get a 6 pack for about $12. We are in sticker shock here.. We told Nadia and Luke they need to come to the US to shop and bring things back..
Soon we were back and cooking dinner pasta with bolognese sauce. Nadia made a nice appetizer plate and we cook some garlic bread. After our wonderful meet prepared by Robert, we played a game of Trivia Pursuit. We had a great time and called it a night around 10PM.
We woke up early again, but were a little tired and still had a cold so decided to get a few more hours sleep. Around 8AM, we decide to get out of bed and have breakfast. Nadia decided it was time for me to try Vegemite. She made some toast, put butter on it and a thin coat of the Vegemite. It really wasn't that bad, couldn't exactly in point the taste. Then she made a crumpets with honey. They sort of tasted like an Eggo..
