We were up at 7AM to catch our 9:30AM bus, which turned into 11AM Bus.  Of course, not knowing it we picked the only bus that doesn't actually board in the bus terminal.  We were all set and ready to get to Singapore, now since we are running out of time.  But the guys stood out there trying to fill the bus with as many passengers they could find.  I think they only found 3 and about an hour and a half latter then departure we were finally on our way to Singapore.  Can't complain, this was the nicest bus we have been on so far.  The seats actually reclined and had the foot rest that actually raised.  We got in a few extra hours of sleep, which worked out well.  After  waking up, I couldn't believe how nice the highways looked, which we lined with palm trees, and not much traffic.   Around 2PM, we arrived in the town of Johor Bahru, at the Malaysian Immigration and Customs checkpoint is.  We only needed our passport and departure card this time and we back on the bus in no time.  Once we returned to the bus, I tasked the driver if he had any Singapore Arrival cards, he did and we received our two.  When traveling by bus between country, you usually receive your arrival/departure card at your transition point or the bus drivers carry them as well.
Soon we were at the boarder for Singapore at the Woodlands.  Actually very nice, right on the water with a great view.  This enter was a little more difficult.  We needed to get all of our bags and then stand in the huge lines.  A guy a head of us was taking away for questioning.  Which made we a little nervous since we were carrying backpacks as well.  But we were fine, only asked if this was our first time.  And since we wrote that we would only be here for 2 days the agent didn't have that much more to ask us.  And we were on out way back onto the bus again.
This time there was a little more traffic on the Causeway going into Singapore.  Getting closer to rush hour, we passed China Town, saw the skyline, the river and eventually made it to our drop off point near Little India.  We fired a cab to Little India were all of the hotels are and walked around for the one, most were fully booked.  But we finally found one Fragrant.  It is one of the newest hostels in Singapore.  I really didn't want to be in a dorm room, but they were full and could offer us a couples room.  We ditched out bag and headed to the Chiangi airport, so we could change our tickets to Australia.  It was no problem, at the Qantas desk they changed our reservations, because our original flight changed and we would have missed our connection.  After that was finished, we started to get hungry after not eating all day.  I told Bart earlier how I would really like some mashed potatoes and said he wanted KFC, we knew we could spell it but we just couldn't find it.  Finally after searching we found Popeye's.  Good enough substitute.  After our fast food, we walked around the airport.  The Chiagni Airport offers, free city tours, free Internet, free movies, free chair and foot massages, free gardens to walk through on the roof, an observation deck to see all of the planes and even a swimming pool.  We were told you need to bring your own swim suit and it cost $15.60 per person.  We were pretty amazed with everything they offered.
Soon it was getting late and caught the next train back to Bugis Station, which was only about a 5 minute walk away from the Hostel.  We went straight to our room, where we found the Andrew and Jen, an couple from england on their way to Australia as well.  Talk for a while and then went to bed, only to be woken up by the other couple when they arrived back.
Travel Trip:  Fragrant Hostel - Offers free breakfast, 2 eggs and bread you cook them how you would like, coffee and tea.  They have Internet on site, 20 minutes for $1.00.  A bar, outdoor seating, cafe food, and a movie room.  This is the cleanest and newest Hostel we have stayed in.  I would say it has been cleaner than some of the hotels we have been to.  They do not charge for sheet or towels and provide a drinking cup.  Get showers with massager, and hot water.  Definitely would recommend them to anyone.  We paid $18 a person a night.  And you get a 10% discount if you have the ISIC card.  When you check on the do have a rule of lights out by 11PM, no problem just bring a flash light and be quite so you don't wake up anyone in your room.
