Travel Tips:  During Full Moon Week, you are better off staying in Leela Beach, if you could like to get some sleep at some point in the night.  You can't hear any of the music coming from Haad Rin, where the party is located.  Leela Beach is know as Haad Seekantang, or Haad Leela, it on the western side of the Haad Rin peninsula.  The beaches are one of the best on the island, long white sandy beach.  At some points, like in front of Leela Beach Bungalows, the beach is quite narrow and Light House Bungalows doesn't have a beach at all.  You could walk over a Light House Bungalows on a wooden bridge.  Nice walk you could see all of the craps on the rock during high tide.  They say you could snorkel there, but from what we say there was a ton of trash in the water.  The Full Moon Party and Downtown Haad Rin is only a 10 minutes walk.  You just need to cut through Sarikantang, and walk up the hill.  At the bottom of the hill you will see some steps, head down them.  To the right is the beach where the party is and to the left is downtown where all the shops, restaurants, Internet access and long distance phone services, and even 7 -Eleven is located.
Leela Beach  - Leela  Beach Bungalows
One of the cheaper bungalows.  We paid 600 Baht during the Full Moon Week for fan and hot water.  Just a little something we noticed while traveling, better to have a standard fan than a ceiling fan.  We couldn't even feel the air from the fan through the mosquito net.   The A/C bungalows are newer and nicer than just the fan bungalows.  You will need to request hot water, if you would like it.  Cold is cold, no luke warm.  The have a restaurant and serve alcohol.  They also offer to pick you up at Haad Rin free of charge if you are staying there.  If you need a ride back to Thong Sala it will cost you 50 Baht per person, same as a taxi truck from Haad Rin to Thong Sala or vice versa.
Cocohut Village
Nice place to stay. On of the new hotels on Leela Beach, great view, larger beach, restaurants, pools.  For 1500 Baht during Full Moon Week, you could get a great place with a view of the water, A/C, TV, and hot shower.

This is a great place to stay.  Great pool, sports activity on the beach, big screen TV's, amazing rooms.  During Full Moon you could get a room for 1100 Baht with an amazing view of the water, even from the shower, A/C, TV, and hot shower.  Wish I stayed there.

Lighthouse Bungalows
This place doesn't have a beach, but has a bar and restaurant.  Great view from all of their bungalows.  And cheaper prices during Full Moon than Leela Beach Bungalows and nice rooms.  You looked at a room for 500 Baht, but it was taken.  They have regular fans, not ceiling fans.

We had a great day at the beach, meet a ton of people from all over the world.  We got some great tans and then headed to downtown Haad Rin.  A lot of restaurant have movies all day long, so we looked for a good movie with some specials.  And ended up watching Casino Royale and Mission Impossible III.
