Soon we were on our way to see more sights. We hopped on a train that lead us to the Pantheon and the Palais du Luxembourg.
We went to the market to get a few things since we would be traveling on an overnight train this evening to Madrid. At the market we bought a mixed salad, a few cans of pate (while in France...), mini toasts and Cidre (apple cider). total; 8.10 Euro. The supermarket chain 'Champion' is surprisingly cheaper than expected. We used the price of water as our benchmark throughout the world and were surprised that Paris had the cheapest at 18 centissimo for 1.5 Liters.
too bad it was too dark to see the countryside. But, that is the trade off. If we traveled in the daytime we would be paying for a train ticket, wasting a day, and then paying for a hotel. On the overnight we only pay for the train.
