On the second day of the driving leg we had more confidence driving around EU and looking forward to the drive to Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo is only a thirty minute drive from Nice. On the way to Monte Carlo, we stopped off at a number of viewing areas to appreciate the French Riviera, we couldn't help it, the views were too good!
What was supposed to be a thirty minute drive ended up being an hour. Arriving into Monte Carlo, we found ourselves in a picture perfect city, manicured streets, beautiful parks, the place oozed class. Every place we walked to, all we saw were boutique stores and like Saint Tropez the luxury cars and yachts which come along with them. The backdrop to Monte Carlo was hills with beautiful homes built on them all looking out to the water. Monte Carlo must still have a love or fascination with Grace Kelly, pictures and monuments of her were splashed all over the place. We will definitely remember Monte Carlo as a place for the FILTHY rich and famous.
Back to reality, we headed back to Nice and again chilled on the beach to catch the last of the French Rivera sun.
