Belinda and I bought a day pass hop-on, hop-off bus ticket, which would take us to all the tourist destinations.

We boarded the bus and headed for La Sagrada Familia (a catholic church), probably Barcelona's most famous landmark.  La Sagrada Familia was architected by Barcelona most influential architect, Antoni Gaudi.  Before arriving to La Sagrada Familia, we saw a number of Gaudi's famous buildings, such as Casa  Batllo and La Pedrera.  These Gaudi buildings were examples of Modernista style, which I would call eccentric.  The roofs on these buildings more like mosaics.

When we arrived at La Sagrada Familia, I could see how and why Gaudi dedicated forty years of his life designing the church.  The church is a long way from being completed, even though construction began in 1882.

Another Gaudi influenced tourist spot we hit was, Park Guell.  From the park, we were able to get a full view of Barcelona city.  We then visited the Olympic Village, a couple of museums and headed for Port Olimpic (another harbour) with beaches a walk away.

After a long day and nigh spent on the hop-on, hop-off bus, we decided to have dinner in a jazz club at 11:00pm.
