FINALLY.....we made it after three flights from Sydney, it was a huge relief.  It was 1:00 in the afternoon when we arrived and were greeted my old mate Phong, who has been living in Frankfurt for 18 months. Phong works at Franfurt Airport, so he helped us to get on our way to meet with another old mate of mine, Matt. Phong and I

Phong got us board a train from Frankfurt Airport train station to Taunasanlage, a metro station in the city.  After a fairly short train ride, we headed over to Matt's place to freshen up and finally start with the site seeing and taste testing the German beers.  We visited the Romberg (old quarter of Frankfurt), viewing the old Opera House, Frankfurt Town Hall and the pub village (The Rocks equivalent).  From there we went for a walk along the Main River for some dinner.
