The first of our connecting flights to Frankfurt, Sydney to Perth, we arrived into Perth knowing we had a five hour wait ahead of us until our next flight, so we hired a car for the afternoon and drove to Subiaco for dinner and drinks.
 
10:30pm flight to Dubai, another 10 hours on a plane!  Lucky for us the plane trip to Dubai was comfortable; the plane was only a quarter full.
