As it is Easter Sunday we visited San Pedro cathedral which was absolutely packed with people for Easter Mass, which seemed to go on all day. Stalls were set up outside selling snacks, souvenirs and junk. We did some walking around to see if the place measured up to the claims that it is the most livable city in Asia. Visiting a place is not quite the same as living there, so we didn't really find whatever it is that makes it such an attractive place to live.

I was not feeling well this morning and was not up to a big buffet lunch, so we decided to postpone a meal at Marco Polo. Instead we went to one of the P99 all-you-can-eat meals which are quite popular here, and where you don't feel you need to eat a lot to get good value. It's an easy way to sample the local food, and the one we chose was particularly good for desserts - the delicious tapioca cakes alone were almost worth the price of the meal. We did some more walking around but it was a bit too hot, which didn't help my condition and I spent most of the afternoon sleeping. We did catch a movie though on our cable TV, a true story about a woman who made a habit of poisoning her husbands and lovers - and managing to claim inheritance and insurance.
