another island scooter tour, and few photos.. we happend upon a canoe & sailing, regatta/party on the south east side of the island in the afternoon which was fun to watch, and nurse the previous evenings hangover.
The first mate Mike rejoined the boat yesterday, and somehow found us at the party.. cant imagine how he knew we were there. of course we had to celebrate his arrival, and did so in fine fashion. after the bars closed, we hopped on the scooters for the short ride back to the boat (bit naughty i know, but just down the road.) anyway, I only got a few yards before the cops stopped me and confiscated my mean machine... 'you are incapable of riding your bike, mate.'.. I wasnt going to argue the point, and relieved that confiscation was the only punishment, stumbled my way back to the boat without further incident. Marina and Mike had gone on ahead, and as I was no where to be seen, circled back to find me, only to get their wheels confiscated also... the cops were on a scooter crackdown! we had a good laugh about it, over some fish and chips, before passing out. when we went back the next morning to pick up the scooters (none of us could remember what time they had told us), the cop on duty said we couldnt have them back... '24hrs, mate.. come back at midnight'.
