During the bus ride chiel was reading and writing. I don't know how he could manage since is again a really curvy and bumby road. He reminded me and reminded me of this idea I had long time ago, of visiting the main hotels in each city as we are travelling. This is really important for me since the more knowledge i have about the destinations the product and their hotels, the better the job that i can get.

So this is great because he is encouraging me a lot and he even came with me to visit a hotel in Pokhara, but i do not want to jump in time. so i will start telling you in oder.

Pokhara is a really big city, but the lake side is just a big tourist trap, with tourist restaurants, illegal guesthouses, laundry, handicraft's shops and so on. I say illegal because the do not have a license to build anything in front of the lake because it covers the whole view. But it does not matter much to the nepali goverment it seems. Since all of them are here.
Thsi place is a paradise for outdoors activities, and after chiel and me walked from the bus station to the lake side of the city and visited a few guesthouses, we decided to stay at the Eden hotel. Nothing amazing but good value for money. We were followed by a few touts who wanted to take us to their hotels. but nevermind. After we were ready we went to buy our winter gear, it took us a really long time!!!!!!! what a nightmare. We went to a travel agency and ask for sunrise paragliding, as Hans the american guy we met at the nepali border encourauged us to try and he recommended us this place. When we arrived to sunrise paragliders shop we were told that he was in town but they were fully booked up for our entire stay in Pokhara. So we were a bit dissapointed but manage to get ourselves tickets with another company,l also called blue sky. BEfore going there we had two big beers, and we felt braver to buy the tickets then.

In the morning we went to have a nice breakfast and try the internet. turns out that all the internet place have agreed on an hour price of 99rs per hour, all the restaurants have the same menu and prices, so they have a monopoly therefore they just charge foreigners what they want. Nevermind. We went to rent a rowing boat and chiel was my private gondolero, because when i tried to row i just put lots of water on chiel. He wasn't too pleased. The views are really majestic, but it is cloudy so people are telling us that we are not going to be able to see the big mountains, from the Anapurna group. After this we to our paragliding experience. They took us on a jeep to the take off spot and they started unpacking their gliders and getting ready.

Nobody was telling us anything, until we saw that we were being left behind and everybody from our group was flying. We were wondering what was going on and it turns out that our pilots went to another spot. Once they came they started getting ready, i was getting more nervous and then it was time. You are meant to run towards the end of the slope and when you realised you are flying. The sensation is quite pleasant and peaceful, you are just floating in the air, and the pilot is behing you, it is quite cool. The birds get really near and you don't have motion sickness or a falling sensation. I was very hungry and i was talking about pizzas and beer. The pilot was laughing and it was a really cool experience. When we landed we were really happy that we had this experience, i want to do it more, and maybe take lessons to become a pilot. When we landed we saw hans and it was really cool, to recognise a face!!!!! Then we decided to meet him in Cafe amsterdam to have lunch-dinner, as i had to get ready to visit the Shangrila hotel, later on.

Lunch was lots of junk food, and weird bitterballen. Hans was telling us how he went out the night before and end up in a place (club they call it) with a few girls dancing, a dance loop, and a guy with a fake chinese long beard!!!! What a really weird place.. i really want to go and visit. After the Shangrila we went to the hotel and were relaxing, i was so relaxed that at 8 at night I was sound sleep. Our plan for today 31st of October Hallowen we are going to visit the world peace pagoda and maybe go around the lake we will see!!!!!!

many kisses everybody
