On the drive from Long Beach, WA, to Seaside, OR, crossed the Columbia River on the Astoria Mealer Bridge, the longest trussel bridge in the nation.

A perfect sunny day to see some of the sights in this area.

CANNON BEACH area: This is definitely a must-see place!!

Ecola State Park:
--Ecola Point:  Great views of Tillamook Rock Lighthouse and Cannon Beach.

--Indian Beach:  Beautiful drive through the forest on a very narrow, winding road to reach the bluff over the beach.  The bluff was a great place to watch all the surfers and the waves breaking on the rocks.

Cannon Beach:  World's third largest monolith.
At low tide, you can walk right up to it as well as explore the tide pools.  Quite a sight!

Warren House Pub for dinner.  The  house was built in 1912; the front door has a porthole from the famous ship wreck, Peter Iredale.  Interesting history as well as good food.

Hug Point  is the most awesome place ever at low tide.  Lots of sea caves all along the point that you can go in and explore.  Played around here until the water came in too close for comfort.  Watched another beautiful sunset.  This is definitely one of our favorite places!!
