Everything is so quiet here in PEI. After shopping for souvenirs we headed off for the day. Stopping at our first maritime lighthouse, Dalvary, we stretched our legs. Along the drive we found Cavendish Beach, made famous in LM Montgomery's, Anne of Green Gables. We had discovered a lobster pound on the side of the road, and bought lunch...........1 pound lobster, freshly cooked and cracked, with drawn butter for $8......Nothing better than sitting on Cavendish beach, devouring fresh lobster. It doesn't get better than this.

Satisfied from lunch we headed to Anne of Green Gables house. This is the house, where L M Montgomery lived and was the inspiration for her stories....green rolling paddocks, whitewashed houses, white picket fences, Lover's land and the Haunted Forest......It was great to wander around this property and dreaming of Gil, Anne, Diana, The Cutheburts...it was all coming back to me.

We headed for our next Province, New Brunswick. Just before Federation Bridge, we took the opportunity to fill up on cheap gas. I also wanted to make sure that we had change for the toll over the Bridge. The attendant looked at me as if I was crazy when I asked her to give me 50cents and $1 for the toll. She told me we could pay by card. What? I asked her how much the toll actually was. $39 she replied. WHAT! FOR A TOLL. THE FERRY IS FREE TO ENTER, BUT TO LEAVE YOU HAVE TO PAY $39! On second thought, I could actually stay here in PEI and never leave!

Across the 13km bridge and arrived in New Brunswick. We headed to Moncton, a big university town. We could not find any accommodation, but one of the B&B owners mentioned a new B&B that would be opening in a few days. We arrived at her house, and even though she was not 100% ready for us, she took us in and gave us a fantastic deal, I have a room to myself and then promptly left us and went out for the night! Very trusting. We headed out for a cheap steak dinner and then to a bar selling jugs of cheap beer. Hey, it was uni night, so we made the most of it.
