After a day in Dublin catching up on laundry etc, we met up with our next trip. We are now going to do the South. We decided to see some of Ireland before actually settling down to work.
A lot of the gang are continuing on this second tour too, so just like old times.
This morning we started our tour off at the Guinness Factory. Just what you need to start off the day....mmmmm. We drove through Dalkey, where the likes of Bono, Enya and Eddie Ervine live, with magnificent views across the sea. We visited another monastic site, nestled in a deep valley at Glendalough (Glen of 2 lakes) in the Wicklow Mountains.
Next stop was Avoca. This is where the televisiion show, "Ballykissangel" is filmed. We parked near the film crew and watched them filming for an up coming episode for a while, before the village beckoned. This is a little village that is still alive and well even though they are taken over with film crews.
A impromptu group BBQ at the B&B at Wexford and sitting around listening to Matt play the guitar topped off a delightful day.
