(60 miles)
We started at probably 5am. We never really know what time it is. It seems to start getting light at about 4 something. It was nice and cool for several hours of riding through hilly yellow colors. Towns continued to be perched on top of mountain peaks. Today was our mountain climb of 12% grade for 6 km straight. It really wore us out. At noon we made it to Potenza and we hopped a train to Salerno on the west coast because we're kind of running out of time and we want to see more of the attractive parts of Italy. The amalfi Coast certainly was that. Imagine terraced cliffs growing countless lemon trees and a windy road on the edge of that cliff. Spanning Italian ocean towns. Really amazing. We were forced to pay $50 to camp on the side of a cliff. It was a monopoly.
