Back at the boat that night, we had a great party with the Contiki group where everyone had to dress up in traditional Egyptian dress. There were some pretty eccentric outfits. We had some characters in our group looking like oil moguls and bellydancers. Then we proceeded to play "Egyptian" games. We played Amoeba, Mummy wrap (Rachel's wrap was by far the best but everyone voted for the drunk guy's crappy job to laugh him off), and Egyptian soccer. I have to admit that I was excited when they first told us we were playing soccer - I truthfully thought we were going to get active and have a full-on soccer field to play on and everything. So I signed up. To my surprise it was Egyptian soccer whereby a player hangs thread around their waste with a potato at the end. The objective is to kneel really low and thrust your hips in a forward direction to hit a ball that was on the ground. Not the easiest thing to do and I would have looked more graceful doing the Macarena on a medicine ball. It gave the crowd a lot of laughs though. We ended up dancing into the night with new friends and great experiences.
