Just a little update on the happenings here. We took the weekend off from working on the studio. Yesterday we took it easy in the morning and took off for the music festival around 3:00. There were some  very good musicians there. We saw Reverand Payton's Big Damn Band, Dan Bern, and Uncle Earl. I've got video on Rev. Payton and Uncle Earl with the Carolina Chocolate Drops who we missed but were supposed to have been awesome.

Today, Gar headed to LA to work and will be back on Tuesday morning. I did some shopping, did a little cleaning and laundry, kept an eye on my fantasy team and took it pretty easy.

Kris and I will be back to work on the studio tomorrow so look for another update soon.

hey john,

i just got back from NYC at 1 a.m. the weekend was insanely busy and huge amounts of work, but heather's shower went great.

i am loving your blog! great videos! i'm going to make more comments later, but for now, i wanted to give you the heads up that i have a show this sunday, oct 28, 8 pm here in venice. gar will be driving back for it, either saturday night or sunday. i'm sure he'll want to get back to the desert quickly, but are you in the mood to see a little bit of L.A.? my place is teeny tiny and organizationally challenged at the moment, but the famous cadillac hotel (right on the beach, where mom and dad love to stay), is about 50 yards from my apartment. let me know.

Hi John,
I have been keeping up with the blog. It all looks good. The studio is great. It seems like you are making really good progress. That must be fun compared to residential work. Hope this doesn't jade you if we need to get our basement done. Did you see much of the national park? I would love to go there. I will keep checking. Just turned in my big math project today so I will have some time to check my favorite website.

Just talked to Amy and I'm set to go to LA this weekend. Don't know when yet but sometime this weekend. It's been a long time and I'm looking forward to it.

Not jaded yet. It's good to be working. I haven't seen the Park yet but will by the time I leave. I've been pretty bust so far. Actually posting pics now so check them out.
