Here I sit at McCarran International. I am about to head for home. I miss the gang. I miss the hornet. I miss the open road, the mountains, the twists, the turns and Dad's commentary. Around me, everyone seems oblivious to the fact that I am one of the Ramblin Raasch's. I am just one of the masses. The airport is cold and sterile. I don't even know the guy who will disconnect my sewer system. How sad is that! I am surrounded by Pizza Hut, Burger King and TCBY. I want mom's coffee that was so beloved by our AAA angel. I want my Kashi and mom's potato salad. I want to sit on my cooler and watch the road with my brother driving, my mommy navigating and my dad hanging on for dear life. I am summoned back to life by responsiblity however. We have dinner plans on Friday and Jackie has her first dance so I am off to home. Amy's invite was so very tempting, but I must return to where I started from a week ago. I am looking forward to hearing more adventures and seeing the pictures.....

Garrison Keillor, eat your heart out
The poignancy of a lonely Jillmo in an airport is almost too much to bear. Faulkner, Hemingway, Twain -- eat your heart out.
Well, you will be sorely missed in the desert. Maybe you can make a cameo appearance on the trip back...
We are ready for the Ramblin' threesome to roll into town! Be sure to call Gar when you're close -- he says it's only about 3 hours from Vegas. Oh wait -- I have to call them -- the high-tech connection gone...like a turkey through the corn (you can thank Gar for teaching me lyrics to old-timey songs).
Love,
A.
THE EAGLE HAS LANDED
Attention - Attention - It appears that the Blue Hornet has been sighted at its destination at Red Barn Recorders in Morongo Valley, CA. Gar is receiving the Ramblers as we speak...will update later.
Love,
A.
