We hiked a bit over an hour and a half, observing the near empty lake and the beauty of the cacti.
Later in the evening we took a drive to Sunset Ridge and got some decent shots of the sun going down. I'd guess it went down over the Phoenix flight pattern, due to the numerous con trails present. There were no other folks up there, so it was very peaceful.
For dinner I barbecued some of the salmon from our trip to the Columbia River with Lisa and Rich. This with a mixture of rice and quinoa and a green salad made up our dinner for the evening. A decent fare, if I do say...
Today, Tuesday, we went into town and found a laundromat. The drive took longer than the washing and drying. That's the deal when you hang out in the semi-outback. The price is well worth it. It's a most beautiful place. We did our grocery shopping afterwards and then cruised home to the camp. It's been in the mid-nineties these two days, so I'm ready to move north a bit. We'll head out to Page again tomorrow for a night. Perhaps we'll stop there and take a tour of the dam. Only time will tell. The photos will be posted this evening, so stop back and take a look. Take care and again, gracias, for checking in...
