We can finally go over to Post Falls to pick up the new rig, Fiona. On Monday, the 10th we retrieved Shorty from his winter resting place out in the Helena Valley. It was raining. Sunday it had been sunny and the temperature hit sixty degrees. The road home was muddy, in the valley and wet on the highway. We got to Helena and gassed up at Costco, with gas back up to $3.15/gal. The attendant told me that the price goes up when the refineries change over from winter gasoline to the spring/summer variety. This causes a shortage. The price goes up. Amazing, if true. Anyway, that's my story and I'm....you know the rest.
We got our stuff ready to take on our first trip of the year. We're stopping in Missoula for an appointment with and ENT doc to check out the ol' right sinus. We'll overnight there in a motel...imagine that! Since Shorty is empty and the bed back in "stock" condition, to be ready for the trade-in, it's the best we can do. As you may know, we like to stay at the La Quinta. Hopefully there will be plenty of room to park the coach there. We're flexible, so we'll figure it out...
This eve we had Joe and Mel, Lynn's cousin Bonnie and Michael, our nephew over for an early St. Paddy's Day dinner. It was a lot of fun with good ol' corned beef and cabbage topped off with homemade Lemon Meringue Pie for desert. It's good to get and early start for such an auspicious occasion...
On Wednesday, we'll head out over the mountain to Idaho and go to Blue Dog RV for a walk-through of Fiona. We miss her, so it'll be a nice reunion. Seeing her without snow will be a first. We'll meet our friends from Spokane Valley and give them the tour. We'll hang out over dinner after that. I'll be checking back, hopefully with a few pictures. If you haven't visited http://www.flickr.com/photos/ralphieboyo/, you may want to do so now. In my opinion, it's worth the trip...
Hasta la vista, amigos...
