After a peaceful ten days up here at the lake, I'll be heading back home tomorrow.  The weather has been quite interesting.  One day, Friday, it was 11 degrees when I got up.  When I went into Anaconda at 10:45 it was 31.  When I got to Anaconda, 14 miles or so away, it was 51˚.  Having been born in and lived in Butte back in the "Dark Ages," as I call it, we never experienced such weather.  It did get cold, minus 40-50 on occasion, but nothing like the recent weather.  There's plenty of snow in the mountains.  I read last week that the Snowpack is normal for this time of year.  That's a good thing…

I got in a couple more XC skis.  The weather was perfect for such activity.  In the time I've been up here, I've skied about five times and walked a couple more.  I try to get out as often as I can.

The beauty of winter here in the high country is amazing.  I try to capture it, as best I can, but even a "good camera" doesn't do it justice.

Speaking of which, the photos, again, are on

Thanks for spending some time with us…

Your enthusiasm shines through. Welcome home. Note my fruit trees are properly pruned. Got training and shaping help from Marcus Lee, 30 years of experience. His brother is Kurt Lee of Fabulous Flue.
