We returned to camp and took a rather disjointed walk in the woods. This campground is pretty rundown and has no signs on the trails that actually let you know what and where. The map that is furnished is pretty lame. We did about two and a half miles and called it good.
Since we still hadn't heard from my nephew, Lynn went ahead and prepared dinner just in case. We got a turkey breast at Publix the other day. This. along with her potato salad and a Chinese Cabbage salad were our fare for the evening meal
Later in the afternoon, I got an email from the Neph that they, he and his daughter Olivia, would not be able to make it, due to unforeseen circumstances.
I put the turkey in the Weber and got it going. It roasted to perfection. The meal was great and our family was missed. I don't know if we'll be down here again in the near future, but who knows what I'll learn if I pay attention. We love the Florida scene, so I would imagine that Shorty will find his way back. If we could just skip a few of the wider states in between...
It didn't get much over sixty degrees today, so we are really missing the warmer weather. No whine, just fact...
We'll be moving on to Louisiana tomorrow to Tickfaw State Park, where we stayed when we passed through heading east. We hope to get an early start, since we'll be spending only one night there and would like to get out and hike a bit.
I've put a few, varied photos of Flickr, so if you get the urge, here they are: www.flickr.com/photos/ralphieboyo.
