They were out for about five hours including travel time down to the dock. Angie also caught one salmon. The got back and “Lucky Lynnie” was happy.
For dinner we had a barbecued pork loin done with a rub. We also had a lamb roast ala barbecue and both garlic mashed potatoes and baked potatoes. Lynnie made her, to me, delicious cucumbers in sour cream with wine vinegar
This morning we drove into Warrenton, OR to the Costco and later to the Wet Dog Cafe in Astoria for lunch. The clam chowder was excellent! I had the Atomic Burger, which was covered with a layer of Habenero peppers and pepperjack cheese. Onions and lettuce, as well as, “special” sauce topped it off. I was a bit leery of the Habeneros , since I have had a bad history with them, but the sandwich was perfect. I must admit, that in worrying about the peppers, I really didn’t taste much else. Maybe next time...
On return, Rich eviscerated the fish and Lynnie and Lisa vacuum packed them for freezing. We’ll bring them, along with more salmon from Rich and Lisa, with us back to the Hinterland of Montana.
Rich had to leave this afternoon, since he has to work tomorrow. Lisa is still on sick leave and Lynnie and I are on the “endless weekend”, as Lisa calls retirement. We’ll head back to Auburn via a new route, along the Columbia to Longview and then take I-5 north
For dinner tonight we had Greek salads an bread. Now Lisa and Lynnie are playing gin rummy and I am doing...
Thanks again for stopping by...
