We decided to devote the entire morning to geocaching.  Boring? Not a chance!  On our way into the desert, we stopped off in town to find "Hey gringos it's pronounced Heeluh."  It's a cache tucked into a safety barrier atop a cyclone wire fence at the ball field.  While there, an electrician for the city, turned painter, came over and asked if we'd found it.  We showed him how it all works and explained the phone app Another worker was familiar with the process and had actually saved the cache from other workers who were going to dispose of it.

Then we hit the desert.  After much fruitless wandering, we headed back toward town and got onto the Maricopa Road, which took us to the right area.  The first one we found was a half mile walk from the highway, since we need a bit of a walk to calm down from being "dazed and confused" earlier.  It was an easy find, atop a small hill where many RR aficionados observe the frequent trains.

The second cache was not far away, but required that we drive through two drainage tunnels under the mainline.  It was only a short climb above the road.  The return trip was just as interesting, going back through the two tunnels and traversing some narrow, ATV trails. Sooby just loves the outdoors and actually prefers it to sitting in the garage at home.  It's good for him and us too.  The photos show the smaller tunnel and also some interesting flowers in bloom here in the winter.  Eighty degrees plus again today is just right!

We got home and Lynn went over to the laundry at the park.  i didn't.  I felt obligated to rest up for our card game this evening.  We played Uno, but I'll get to that later.

We fixed two small pork loins with a rub I found on the 'net.  The dinner included the pork, garlic mashed potatoes, frozen (and thawed/cooked) peas and cole slaw.  A feast fit for a retiree!

After washing and drying the dishes, we hit the cards.  It's a new, fun game for us and lo and behold!, I succeeded in winning.  A new experience in Uno.

That's our day.  No weekend again this week, since the week never starts or ends.  It's just one long and pleasant journey for us.  I hope you have/had a fine one too.
