Today was a sleep-in day for me.  Up at seven-thirty and the usual rituals.

After Lisa returned from whatever, we did some shopping.  Lisa and i had a "two-fer" Blizzard at the DQ.  Good stuff!

In the early evening, we headed over to Emerald Downs, the racetrack, for an evening of racing and dinner.

I didn't bet, trying to make up for the losses in suffered the prior night at some sort of poker game.  Lisa and Lynn tried their luck, to no avail. Rich, as always, did pretty well, but didn't reveal any solid evidence of doing so.  The eve was warm and a fine time to be out of doors and enjoying it.  I got a few shots, but was unable to get any good ones of Mount Rainier.

Now, we're preparing to take the boat on Lake Union and go to a U of W Huskies game.  It sounds like a great time.  The "boatgating" will be a new experience for me.  It's at times like these that my sobriety is of such a great value.  I've "been there, done that and still have the receipts."  More later...

Really like the last action shot of the horse race...nice capture of movement. The Rainer cool and one of the things that kept my sanity at Ft. Lewis in 1970 when I was drafted and did my basic training there. Keep on truckin for the good life.....I envy you....hope I get to make my fall trip. Good traveling you both.
