Amy and Zach stayed on for a couple of hours. They are on a whirlwind tour of the west and have been having a great time. They shared pictures of their hike in Colorado. Later I showed them a few pictures of the moose family and a few others. It's very cool to have photos on the computer and easily share them. It's like a mini-slideshow...shades of the old days.
Lynn and I cleaned up the house and closed it up for the time being
We got back to Helena and got unpacked and checked out the garden and then, wonders will never cease, cleaned the house. Is this a flashback or what?
The reason for our preparation was the coming of another nephew, Dan Guay, from California. Dan is the son of my late brother, Dick. He's the young brother of James Guay, whom we visited on our trip while in Mississippi.
Dan had flown up from Las Vegas, where he had stopped by to see his mother, Teresa.
We had a great visit with Dan. Lynn hadn't seen him since he was a youngster and I not for about ten years. He's on his way to visit his grandfather, also known as his uncle, by marriage, Wally, and his uncle, also referred to as his cousin, John, in Butte. Before he left, I went through some of the old pictures I had and gave several of them to him, mostly of his dad and also of my parents and grandparents.
Dan took off fairly early, heading for Dillon, Montana to visit the ranch of his mother's parents, where he had spent quite a bit of time as a kid.
We've been blessed this year, having been able to see all of our nephews and nieces, plus most of our grand-nieces and nephews. I guess it's not until one ages a bit that you get to appreciate family. It's that way in my case anyway.
We're home for awhile now, until we head back out to Lisa and Rich's over Labor(ious) Day. Again, thanks for checking in. I'll be back to fill you in on our travels soon.
