We walked to the market, which is just a block or so from where we had eaten. Our waitress was from Chicago and comes from a Ukrainian background. The language is inflected much different than Russian, but it is surprising how much I could understand. The service was excellent, as well as the food.
The marked is quite large, with so many different products and services available. Once again it was re-inforced that I already have much of what I need to live well. We did get some more Rainier cherries and a few small items. Lots of dogs were in attendance, so Madison had her share of smells and quick encounters. All of the canine population was in good space, so nothing crazy happened. The same goes for the two-legged folks there.
Lisa and Rich are leaving later today, since they have to work tomorrow. We'll spend the night here and then leave via Astoria and then along the Columbia west to explore more on our way home. We've had a great time here. It's especially pleasant to have our actual home here and not to be sleeping in a tent. Thanks goes out to all who have helped make our stay a great time.
