We got to Hill City, not really appreciating the moisture and tried, in vain and in spite of help from both the Hussey and the Ozzie to find the park. No go... Then we found our way to a private RV park, which happened to be more or less underwater. We passed on that one.
Enroute, we crossed the Mississippi River, which is overflowing it's banks, even this far north
We finally decided to venture further toward our friend Granny's place and found a park outside of Walker. The phone took us to downtown Walker and then abandoned us. A call to the park owner, Amy, got us straightened out and here we are. She, Amy, and her husband built the park from the ground up. The main building is white cedar and is of log construction. It's a beauty. The park is large, so we easily found a pull-through site that was reasonable. It rained. We got Sooby disconnected and the rig hooked up. It rained.
Now Lynnie is reading and I'm doing this. I only got two photos enoute, one showing what a "Bump" is on a Minnesota highway, and the other a short video of driving over a bump, from the driver's perspective. It still rains... Good weather for ducks and for staying indoors.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention, that we did see Lake Superior as we drove through Daloot. Lots of large lake freighters in port undergoing repair and the like. It's a lot of water, dat's fer shoor, eh?
