We made it to our farthest east destination today.  Oh, I forgot to mention that our friend Bill showed up and surprised us last night in his beautiful Porsche 928.  Lynnie and I were playing cards and i looked out the window to see this racy red car and recognized it as a Porsche, from the wheels.  I went out and Lo and Behold there he was.  We haven't seen each other since 1993 when Lynnie and I came out here to visit Joe, our son, in New York City.  We landed in Boston and took the train down to Preston to see Billy and his wife Anna.  He showed us the sites, so to speak.  A full day of studying ancient chimneys, so he could reconstruct those on his eighteenth century home.  We had a good time.  He also took us to the Cape for a day.  We especially liked Nantucket.

And just as I'm writing this, who should again appear?  Billy again... this time in his Mercedes Benz 320SLK.  He does love his German cars.  He dropped by some fresh cod, which we'll have for tomorrow's dinner.
We had another good visit and he's off again.  We made plans for tomorrow after church.

When we arrived here at the camp, we were greeted by several peacocks.  It's their breeding season, according to the owner.  I got one shot of the display and will include it with today's blog.
