We decided to take a run to town and check out the Kinston Civil War Battleground.  However, we never did find it.  The older section of downtown is very depressed.  Many closed businesses are prevalent along the main streets.  Lots of church here though.  Could be a lot of sinners are present although the weren't that obvious.  So we went back to camp and Lynnie decided to make caramel rolls.  Such a deal!  It's cool outside today and we had the heavy rain last night, so reluctantly I agreed... to watch her, that is.

While waiting for the "second rising" we took a walk behind the coach on a short trail to the pond.  Several species of wildflowers were in evidence, none of which was any larger than one half inch across.  I took macro shots of some of them, hence, they look quite large.  One variety looks like a wild sweet pea.  It has tendrils that more or less confirm our guess.

The pond, though not too exciting, was calm and gave me an opportunity to combine two of my favorite subjects: reflections and clouds.  The shots will reflect this; no pun intended, although appreciated.  A father and son were setting up their outfits to fish, so I asked him what kind of fish are in the pond.  He responded with "You tell me...".  I couldn't even come up with a clever retort, so we left it at that.

The sun is breaking occasionally through the heavy clouds and it makes the fresh spring green even ore obvious.  Lots of folks, especially the tenters, have headed out.  It's rather quiet here today.  We hope to get to the Planetarium show at four, if... if the caramel rolls are done.  A bit of a disappointment, but with good results in the offing.
