As suggested by a friend recently, we decided to go and play some miniature golf.  Myrtle Beach is considered the Mini-Golf Capital of the World.  Just in the area near us, I counted eight different venues.  We chose Buccaneer Bay Mini-Golf, the nearest to our park.  It's a beauty of a place and has been there for thirty five years, according to the manager.  Lynnie, with all of here skill from disciplining our kids, handled her putter well and beat me by one stroke on the East Links.  Undaunted, I summoned up what I had learned in life using the Weedeater and  beat Lynnie by thirteen strokes on the second eighteen holes of the West Links.  We had a great time!  We haven't played since Joe was in his early teens and we were out in Tacoma visiting Lisa.  A blast it was!

From there we decided to pick up a few edibles.  We like the Kroger stores, so drove up to North Myrtle Beach to shop.  It's about fifteen miles, but gave us an opportunity to see a bit more of the area.

We're now getting ready to go back to the beach to hang out for a bit.  I just got a picture of our snow-covered house from a friend  in Helena.  It makes us even happier to be where we are.  God is good, in case I haven't shared it with you lately.  It's about 75˚ here and partly cloudy.  Be back in a couple of hours...

We did the beach thing, but it had clouded over and was a bit too cool.  We spent about an hour there, Lynnie reading and I getting a few shots of what-have-you.  We had hoped to stay an additional night here, but the camp is full for the weekend.  We have a spot picked out farther north, so we'll pack up and head out in the morning.

Two of the shots I took are of a small boy playing with a shovel.  As he throws the sand his look of anticipation is great.  I did get one with the sand in the air.  He moved around like the sand was on fire, so he was not easy to capture.  The surf was beautiful today and i got a couple of ocean photos too.  People are most interesting.  The shot of the pier has a woman running in it.

I shot a short video of the beautiful drive into the park.  It gives some idea of the beauty of this area.  A canopy of green is above us with sunlight playing on the leaves of the trees surrounding the road.  Amazing!
