Excuse the local pronunciation of Georgia, as usual, I can't resist getting into the vernacular pronunciation.  Lynnie, Lisa and I spent a summer in north Georgia in nineteen seventy one, which is forty years ago, believe it or not.  We lived in Blue Ridge and I worked at a construction site just over the border in Copper Hill, Tennessee.  A great summer, which brought rains like they hadn't had in twenty years!  Nothin' like spoilt okra hanging on the ground and 'maters rottin' on the vine. 

  Lynnie's brother, Tim, was working on a project there as an engineer-type. He got me a job and we got a cross-country trip out of it.  Lisa quickly learned to speak the lingo, with words such as "yander" and "down the road a piece"...  We remember those days, some forty years ago, with fond memories.

Our trip today was just under one hundred and fifty miles.  We took state highways and drove fifty-five miles an hour, which was the speed limit.  It's just as beautiful here as in Florida.  The area is covered with various bodies of water: swamps, bayous, ponds, lakes and rivers, to name a few.  The water here is not clear.  It moves slowly and has a brownish tinge to it.  I remember from my last trip here that when talking with some scuba divers here, that they referred to a place north of her they liked since it had "clear water".  We, in Montana, don't really realize how blessed we are to have the streams we have.  The beauty here, especially in the woods, as in this park, is mystical, with moss hanging from the trees and shadows that enhance the sense of mystique.

We'll be here for six nights and, thanks to the phone, we'll have speedy internet and will be able to share with you what we learn and experience.  

It's very warm here, eighty-eight degrees, as I write this.  It was eighty-five in the coach.  Now the A/C is on high and it's cooling slowly...  I hope spring is on the way in Montana.  It's a glorious time of the year and we'll miss it.  We've a long way to go yet, but with no real time constraints, we'll poke along and share it with y'all...

Lynnie's baking some French bread to have with our shrimp and green salad.  It's cooled down to 77˚ in here and is comfy.  I took a short video of the area around our spot to give you and idea what it's like.  Enjoy...
