We left our favorite campground with mixed feelings this morning.  Such a great and friendly place we've never stayed.  A beautiful and quiet oasis in the Florida forest with warmth of weather and spirit, it is.

We took a route that's off the beaten path today, since I had ordered some new spark plug wires for Sooby.  Get this: they had none at O'Reilly's in Live Oak.  The clerk there ordered a set for me.  He had them sent to their store in McClenny, FL, enroute to Callahan. By the time we got to McClenny, they were waiting for us.  Such a deal...

We continued via great and scenic two lane highways to our destination at Kelly's.  The owner, Patrick, greeted us well.  They're having an open dinner for all of us campers tonight with Boston Butts and Ham as the main dish.  I wasn't sure about the butt deal, so I asked.  Pork is what Pat told me.  I was a bit disappointed as you can imagine, knowing me as some of you do.  Lot's of opportunity for a clever comment, but since Pat's hard of hearing I resisted.  No need in letting the whole park know about what goes on in me 'ead.

We're relaxing now.  Lynnie's out relaxing in the shade in her rocker and I'm typin' away, off of mine.  More later after da feast, fer sure.

The party was a great success.  We had about eighty to a hundred folks there to celebrate.  We also had a fifty/fifty drawing, which Lynnie did not win.  In fact she was asked to draw the luck number.  A fellow named Ray, who sat across from me, won the $45.  A fine lad is he is, fer sure.

The meal consisted of smoked ham and also smoked pork as noted above.  There were sweet potatoes, salads, rice, potatoes and gravy and ham hocks and boiled cabbage.  Several item I didn't recognize, but they looked.  Nothing was spicy hot, but, to me, the pork was the bestest!

Apparently Mr. Kelly LOVES to have parties and has several of them a year.  He's an amiable cuss and a good visitor.  He built the park from the woods up and is now constructing another one just across the highway from this one.  An ambitious fellow he is.  The desserts were plenty and quite good, I might add.  I've been layin' off of the sweets for lent and felt that to honor the Saint, I'd best have a piece of cake.  It was a chocolate cake with chocolate chips in the mix.  The frosting was a marshmallow type with caramel swirled atop.  Fine!

We visited a bit and then we broke for home or coach or whatever.  A great time and a great celebration.  We'll be here tomorrow to see what we can discover.  Come back an jine us.
